The small world of murder

Who wanted Nicola Foley dead? Was it her husband--nearly insane with grief over the loss of their daughter, whose kidnapping had turned their marriage into a nightmare of guilt and recriminations? Were a series of unfortunate accidents merely illusory schemes created by Nicola's own neurotic mind? Or was she bent on her own destruction? These are the questions that haunt Nina Hemslow, who accompanies the Foleys on a trip to Australia, designed to help blot out the tragedy of the past. In a search that takes her around the world, she uncovers a scheme that explains the motives behind Nicola's "accidents"--but only after death has claimed several victims. For Nina, a carefree holiday excursion becomes a terrifying journey into the violent, small world of murder.
