Charles Warren Stoddard's diary of a visit to Molokai in 1884

Stoddard recounted his visit to Father Damien on Molokai in October 1884. In the biographical introduction, Lewis speculated on the influence that Stoddard had on Robert Louis Stevenson and his desire to visit Molokai and his defense of Damien.
