"Over the past four decades, author Don Glut has turned his captivation with prehistoric "things"--Dinosaurs, extinct mammals, early humans - into a prolific writing career. In Jurassic Classics, the author has assembled many of his revised and updated earlier articles along with new essays written specifically for this work." "With introductory notes for each piece, the volume is divided into three topics: "Paleo Words," "Personal Petroglyphs" and "Mesozoic Media." From an essay on renowned artist Charles R. Knight to a "dinosaurian" Internet prank; from prehistoric scripts for comic books to articles for professional journals and a look at the Field Museum's Hall 38 through a child's eyes, the reader will find a variety of paleontological topics in this collection."--Jacket.
